We had Riley's Baby Dedication a few weeks ago at church. It was so different than Ivey's- I wish we had been able to do his like this because it was so special. Instead of just standing up at church and introducing our baby, they had a special reception for all the frineds and family of the baby.
Before the reception, Frank and I had to listen to several messages about trying to raise our children to know and love Jesus Christ. They were really inspiring and had such good information. "The most important job we have as parents is to teach them about Jesus." so very true!
We were told to invite the people who would be with us as we raise our children, so here was our invite list: Titi, Papa, Nana, Pops, Rara, Mimi, Kass, Sherry Bell, Anne, Shad, Alex, Emma and Henry. It meant so much to have everyone there to support us. We all got in a circle and Lew led us in a prayer. It was so powerful to be surrounded by our loved ones and know that they are going to be there with us as we raise our children!
