What a great weekend! Sometimes you just need to get away for some family time....so we did!
After Ivey's soccer game on Saturday, we headed down to the metroplex to see Rara, Bob and Bobber! The kids stayed awake and watched movies all the way down. Ivey made an important discovery on the ride down- he has bones in his body! I turned around in the car to look at him and he was squeezing his leg and said, "Mommy! I have bones in here!" It was so funny.


We all stayed at the same hotel and had such a good visit. The hotel had an indoor pool so we let the kids swim for a while. Frank just about gave me a heart attack (see next picture).

My hubby was sweet enough to stay at the hotel that night with the kids so I could go to dinner with Rara, Bobber and Bob. Such a good visit. 

Frank got dinner for the kids and they had a picnic!

We woke up the next morning to rain, but it quickly blew over so we headed to the Ft. Worth zoo! We had a yummy breakfast with Bobber and Bob before they hit the road.

I could not believe he did this! He is usually pretty nervous about situations like this but he was so proud that he got to hold the bird.

At first she was brave....

But then she freaked out!!!!

Later that week, Bobber and Bob came over for dinner and we had a great visit.
